The fun Ritual Lantern Festival comming up on November!
20-22 Nov.2010 There is a big ritual lantern festival called “ Loy Kratong” festival. In Thai”Loy” means to float or release and “Kratong” means a circular floating object with nicely decoration of banana leaves, flowers, a candle and incense sticks. The floating of a Kratong is signifying releasing away ill fortune as well as expressing appologies to River goddess.
Karen Villager’s life: 2 km. from Sukantara Resort
Only two kilometers from Sukantara Cascade Resort in Pang-E-Ka village, there is a Karen hill tribe. Most of Sukantara’s staves are from this Karen village.
A dream resort with a private waterfall
A private white sand beach, a private morsel of forest, a private stretch of forest, a private stretch of river, a private winery, I had seen it all. But a private waterfall, low and lovely, was a first.
